WELCOME!

The purpose of the WCTU is to organize truckers in order to promote the interests of workers through collective bargaining and other means of mutual aid or protection.

WHAT WE DO

INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT

The WCTU stays on top of developments in the industry to make sure we can help our members navigate the changes in a very challenging sector of the economy. We regularly interact with The BC Trucking Association and the Office of the BC Container Trucking Commissioner.

TRAINING

We want our members to be as safe as possible, for their own benefit and for the benefit of the public. The WCTU offers training sessions to its members on a wide range of topics from job stress and substance abuse to safe driving techniques. For more information, contact training@westcoasttruckers.ca.

REPRESENTATION

We believe that our members’ interests are advanced when there is healthy communication between management and employees and when the employer sees employees as critical partners in achieving common goals. We know that a collective agreement is much more than a wordy legal document – it spells out the deal YOU have reached with your employer to provide YOUR services. If you ever need further clarification about your collective agreement or if you have concerns that the Agreement is not being followed, give us a call or email us - we're here to help.
